Here’s my first attempt at Fancy Fold. It’s cute but it really doesn’t scream fancy fold to me.

So I stepped up my game with the card below.

TRIPLE EASEL CARD

So for my fancy folds card I started by folding two 8.5″x11″ pieces of paper in half  and then with SSS Stitched Rectangle Die Cuts I cut three sizes making sure to leave the fold intact, making a top fold card.

On the top flap of each card I scored across the card in the center (you can see in the photo below). I used the same three die cuts to cut panels out of  Echo Park Birthday Wishes 6×6 papers to cover the

top and inside of each card. When taping the top panels only tape the bottom half of the paper. To create the pop up on the small card I simply laid the smallest die cut down with my top plate only covering

half of the die cut and ran it through my BigKick and then scored along the bottom. This created the base of the Triple Easel Card.

To embellish the card I used my Silhouette Cameo and cut out my image from Digital Paper Craft, the “celebrate you”, party hat and confetti pieces using Xpress It Cardstock, pink cardstock and Echo Park Birthday Wishes Paper. The pom on the party hat is Trendy Twine Orangesicle, Strawberry Cupcake and Limeade. Enamel dots are from Michael’s dollar bins. Because this card is busy I kept my image simple and colored her with COPICS. No fussy coloring today.

Here’s the card lying flat.
