Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and welcome! Today I’m up on the Craftin Desert Divas Blog sharing this cutie! I’m going to keep this short and sweet because it’s Thanksgiving Day, a day to be with family and friends.
I always try to get the most use out of my die-cuts by using them for more than what they are intended. Today I’m sharing how to turn some everyday circles, ovals, and banners into a Turkey.
I was thinking that this would be fun for kids to make. You could pre-cut the pieces and let them assemble, a little holiday craft to keep them busy while you baste the turkey.
Here are the products I used:
CARD BASE:
4.25″x 5.5″ card base – 8.5″ x 11″ #110 cardstock scored at 5.5″ and cut at 4.25″ to create to top fold card bases
LAYERS:
Die-cut Kraft cardstock using largest Fancy Frame Die
Die-cut seven banners using the wavy banner die and cut in half, die-cut five banners using largest banner die from the Flag Banner Dies, type Gobble Gobble onto cardstock and die-cut with banner die to create wings
Die-cut scalloped circle and stitched circle using Stitched In Circle Dies
Die cut oval from Fancy Stitched Label Dies
Die-cut bow tails from Shaker Tag Dies for feet
Assemble:
Layer Kraft cardstock onto card base
Assemble turkey and add 3D mounting foam to back, adhere to Kraft cardstock
Add googly eyes to finish off and sentiment inside
Sentiment I used; Gobble til You Wobble. Happy Turkey Day!
As always, thank you for joining us!
